Simple bolt on subframe unit and tank lift for 81-83 yamaha virago xv750, xv920, xv920r, tr1 monoshock framed bikes. This auction is for the simple subframe and hardware ALONG WITH . BATTERYBOX, PAN,, TANK LIFT ARE INCLUDED . You must make your own rear seat and tail light attachments.
The battery box is made to accept this 12 cell battery has more than enough power for a virago.
. If you plan on using the dime City seat the motolanna seat ; like this you do not need the rear hoop, you just need to make your own rear seat attachment and tail light mount. Since I am building these to order it may take a week from the time you order until it is shipped to be patient, I will ship as soon as I have it finished.
You can also use this frame and make your own fiberglass or metal base to upholster. I found a good instructional vid on youtube and made a bratstyle seat which I may offer the pan later.
This is designed for SOLO RIDER USE, the seat area of the simple unit without hoop is 16" long by 8" wide , adding a hoop adds another 5.75 of length. Pretty much any flat bottom seat con be adapted easily to this frame
I've been building these bikes for a while now, here is a link to my website www.docschops.net and a link to more pics of bikes I've built and instructions for the previous model subframe
. This is a straight forward simple bolt on unit, perfect or creating a cafe racer or dirt tracker from a mono framed virago.
Please test fit before painting, have found in rare occasions because of the differences in Yamaha frame tolerances you may have to do a little filing or grinding on the tank mount tab welded to the frame.
Thanks for looking! Contact me with any questions, I'd love to help.
